Beautiful Property ★★★★★

Stayed March 2021 – Unit 6204

We came to Hanalei Bay Resort during the resort bubble restrictions. This made our stay a little bit of a bummer (we weren’t able to leave the property, including not having access to the beach) but the room was great! I can imagine in the height of the resort season this listing being a perfect getaway – the view is everything and more promised in the pictures.

The condo was absolutely a dream with a great view! The condo had great furniture with all the amenities. We spent four days and on our next trip we will be there for a week. The only problem was that we could not figure out how to get more stations on the radio. We were listening to Shaka 103 FM Kauai in the car and couldn’t wait to get to the condo to turn on the radio. We even called a technician but he couldn’t figure it out either. Other than that we will surely return to the same condo 6203-04. Until next time, Aloha. Helena & Robert

Stayed May 2017 Unit 6204

The resort itself is gorgeous! You feel like you are staying in a 5 star hotel! The management seems to have some issues that need to be worked out — very slow check-in and ran out of pool towels before we checked in. People were stopping by to get them and being told they would bring them to their rooms when they were available. It was a minor inconvenience in my opinion, but others weren’t very happy. There is a community parking lot that is further from some buildings than others but that didn’t bother us. Older guests may have more of a problem with it. My only regret is that we were only able to spend one night (our last night in Kauai) there. This is our second trip to Kauai, and we were only able to spend three days in Kauai after spending seven in Maui. We originally planned to spend three nights in another location, but we had activities planned on the North Shore so we decided to spend our last night in Kauai on the North Shore. The room was just lovely! My husband said it felt like home rather than a hotel room. The view from the room was breathtaking, the beach was gorgeous, and the sunset was amazing! There were beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler on the balcony for us to use, but unfortunately our time was limited an we weren’t able to use them. WHEN we come back to visit Kauai, we will definitely stay in the Hanalei Bay Resort #6204!!! Mahalo!!!

Stayed Oct 2020 Unite 6203

Honestly, this was a perfect stay. The view was incredible, the beach you could walk to was beautiful, and the resort grounds were in excellent shape. We had no issues so didn’t have to communicate with staff much, but the couple times we did they were also very friendly and helpful. The beach is a little bit of a steep walk, but they offer rides on golf carts by staff. We thought we would do this since we had two toddlers, but honestly it wasn’t that bad so we just did the walk! Only thing worth noting is the bathroom doesn’t have a tub if you have babies/toddlers, but the shower is spacious and has a removable shower head, so we just used that and it worked just fine. Kitchen has everything you need to cook, and one adult slept on the pull out couch – which she said was comfortable enough. Would and likely will stay here again!

Stayed April 2019 – Unit 6204

Overall a very nice resort with nice attentive staff. On site bar, restaurant and live entertainment at night were nice. Unit had comfortable bed and was not noisy due to concrete construction of the building. Only complaint was the large wine stain on mattress foundation and unit lacked microwave. Worth returning to, but will rent larger unit next time.

Owner’s note – May 2021, currently the bar/restaurant is closed, set to reopen soon. Pool bar is open. Sadly Kauai county does not allow a microwave in studio suites.

An amazing 10 days ★★★★★

Stayed October 2016

We just had an amazing 10 days at condo 6203-04 at HBR. Very impressed with the beautifully furnished apartment that contained everything we needed to make our holiday perfect. The views were amazing, the facilities excellent and we were lucky enough to be there on the first day they opened the new swim up bar in the pool! The condo has everything you would ever possibly need for a holiday from beach chairs, to snorkeling gear and a fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely return in the future. Thanks for allowing us the ability to use this amazing place.

Stayed May 2016 Unit 6204

This was our first trip to Hawaii, so we spent a large amount of time researching and finally decided upon Kauai and the Hanalei Bay Resort. We were very pleased with our choice and absolutely loved Kauai and Hanalei Bay Resort #6204. Yes, Hanalei Bay Resort is on the north shore and we had to drive to the south side of the island a few times for our hikes and exploring BUT Hanalei Bay Resort was exactly how I always dreamed of Hawaii. Our condo had a beautiful view of the mountains, waterfalls and ocean. Sometimes we could even hear the surf. We loved starting our morning on the lanai starting at the beauty and being entertained by the roosters and the beautiful birds that came to visit. The studio unit was beautifully decorated and perfectly stocked. The temperatures were so cool the 2nd week of may that we only used the A/C for sleeping. The unit was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The beach for the Hanalei Bay Resort was one of the prettiest on the island. The staff was wonderful and helpful. We arrived after 10 pm and our check in went smoothly. We would highly recommend this unit.

Stayed January 2020 Unit 6203

We have been renting different units at HBR for 20 years. We LOVE this place! We have rented from different sites over the years and BY FAR {^former mgmt} Condo’s is the best in several categories: the kitchens have the most cookware, etc, they all have beach chairs, boogie boards and more, they are super attentive to anything you need and they have some really choice units with lots of photos so you know what you are getting. We recently rented via Expedia because all the {former mgmt} units were booked, and Expedia would not tell us where the unit was until we checked in. It had not view, was more expensive, and the kitchen had hardly anything to cook with. It made me appreciate {former mgmt} all the more. I will not book with anyone else in the future. This particular unit had great views, very comfortable bed and the kitchen had everything we needed as you may have deduced, I like to cook!
